The Intelligent Fool

Let's just get weird with it.

About

My name is Tim Brechlin, and I am the Intelligent Fool: A label shamelessly cribbed from Albert Einstein, affectionately suggested to me by a former colleague in the wild world of digital marketing. It’s a label which I embrace wholeheartedly, because one of my core tenets is that one can never forget that, ultimately, we only truly know a small portion of what’s out there … and, far more importantly, that we will always make mistakes: I used to think that I learned by doing, but that isn’t true: We learn by making mistakes, analyzing what led to those mistakes, and avoiding those precursors.

I have worked in digital marketing for 20 years, crossing verticals including media & publishing, tourism & hospitality, gaming & entertainment, financial services, non-profits, SaaS and technology, healthcare and more, with expertise in copywriting, graphic design, video editing, lead and demand generation, marketing automation and strategy. My speaking career includes stops across the United States, including at high-profile global events such as the annual eTourism Summit.
